Clair de Lune

This world is made up of two opposing forces. Light and shadow, passion and calmness, joy and sadness... One of the symbols of opposing but complementary forces is the sun and the moon. When describing Hiroomi Tosaka, he is a man like the moon. The moon waxes and wanes, changing its shape every day and delivering a different light every day in the nightsky. The light that it emits is both emotional and alluring. A muse to poets nd dreamers alike. The moon is an impermanent presence in the extraordinary world of the night. And Moonlight is the tender touch of the night's caress.With the moon as a motif, the changes in Tosaka Hiroomi's artistic expression and the changes in the moon were overlapped to create a new symbol mark for the Tokyo-born artist. This concept is expressed in various forms and will be developed as the original brand "Clair de lune". The symbol mark was designed by Motoki Mizoguchi of mo'design inc., who has worked on the design of the album jackets and tour logos of J Soul Brothers III. The mark expresses Tosaka Hiroomi's beautiful and seductive worldview, and has become a symbol of Tosaka Hiroomi. This logo design was also a combination of the 'O' from his nickname 'Omi' and the shape of the moon.The light of the moon is exactly how he expresses himself, and it is also Tosaka Hiroomi's creativity and philosophy, which gives a sense of various expansion beyond music. In July 2017, he launched the fashion and artistic project "CLAIR DE LUNE” (meaning moonlight in French) as one of the projects in support of his solo music activities to coincide with the release of his first solo single "WASTED LOVE". To celebrate the official launch, which would be based on the theme of the "moon", an art gallery was set in Nakameguro, at the Snarkitecture's Tokyo art gallery, featuring photo works, clothing and more products produced by the artist as a new type of "concept store" in the form of an art exhibition.The second collection complimented the drop of his first studio release ‘Full Moon’, hundreds of fans and celebrity friends alike visited the pop up store sponsored by Mercedes Benz in Roppongi, Tokyo. A special space that expresses his universe was created, allowing visitors to experience even more of his ever-evolving sense of creativity. This time, the "Self-Made by Gianfranco Villegas" designer, Jean Franco Villegas participated in the installation and held a T-shirt workshop. A custom experience for fans to design one of a kind artistic pieces live was also installed. Prints were turned around within 5 minutes and items with the songster's lyrics were completely sold out on the opening weekend.The SEASON 3 of Clair de Lune was held at a pop-up store, which commemorated the release of his second solo album "Who Are You?". The store was located at CASE B in Jingumae. It introduced exclusive refined items from its first collaborations with MINEDENIM, a denim brand directed by renowned fashion stylist Tsuyoshi Noguchi, Vanson Leathers, and the luxury jewelry brand SPINELLI KILCOLLIN with rings and earrings (priced from 63,000 yen to 720,000 yen) were also on display. The interior design combined the space and moon, which are the motifs of the project, with pink lights, which was the key color of this season, and was said to embody Tosaka's creativity for the album. During the pop-up store's operating period, a workshop was also held at a special booth where visitors could inkjet print of original Clair de Lune celestial designs.For the fourth collection of the Clair de Lune project, Tosaka collaborated with "ADDITION ADELAIDE", the high-end minimalist-chic boutique offering stylish, casual fashions. The project was renamed to simply "CDL" and a collaborative charity pop-up was held in the store, on December 24th and 25th of 2021. In addition to the main luxury item, the collaboration 2-pack T- shirt, this collaboration featured six must-have items that Tosaka incorporated into his styling that season: a faux leather bucket hat, denim cap, newsboy cap, sweat tops that can be worn as a set, and sweatpants, all featuring the CDL brand logo. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the collaboration 2-pack T- shirts were donated to the "Save the Children" foundation in Japan. This collaboration has been realized as the first step towards the future, transcending industry boundaries.

Cdl entertainment

CDL entertainment is a subsidiary label of LDH Records that was founded in 2021. The label is a solo project of the J SOUL BROTHERS III vocalist Tosaka Hiroomi, and was named after Tosaka's project CLAIR DE LUNE. The trademark for the label was filed on the date of his group's 10th anniversary. Following the official announcement of the change of labels in his solo activities, from Avex Records to CDL Entertainment., Tosaka also announced the change in his stage name to the moniker ØMI, his childhood nickname pronounced as OMI (臣 / おみ). The new stage name is trademarked with the letter 'O' styled with a stroke over to resemble the new CDL logo and the moon symbol of his solo cover art works.For many of his admirers, his music has an ethereality that simply draws you in. Mystique and lyricism, cool and emotional, move freely between the digital and the analog. ØMI's take on moonlight-like entertainment and culture is what make his work as an artist so breathtakingly gorgeous and unique. The vocalist of J SOUL BROTHERS III is making major waves in the industry as the creative director for CDL TOKYO and producer for CDL ENTERTAINMENT. ØMI also works closely on the production of editorial shoots and music visual projects, bringing his celestial lunar aesthetic to life with the help of some of the best photographers nd fashion stylists from Japan.CDL entertainment is where he produces and bring new unconventional entertainment that is as bewitching, ephemeral and illusionary as the moon that changes its shape every day, as the name of the project suggests. Entertainment that is opposing but complementary to the shinning productions from LDH JAPAN. Through CDL, he is going to express his unique worldview with various cultures, such as “Music” and “Fashion”, through this entertainment project.... that includes collaborations with other artists, producers, international labels and brands.

Dream Girls

In 2021, LDH announced their largest auditions to find talents from Generation Z called iCON Z 〜Dreams For Children〜. ØMI was in charge of producing a new girl group with his label CDL Entertainment. in collaboration with the HYBE JAPAN labels (BIGHIT MUSIC, BE:LIFT and Pledis Entertainment). Even before the final screening, Tosaka Hiroomi had already decided on a concept and form for the girl group.On September 25, 2022, the final episode of the girls division aired and the successful candidates who were able to become members of the final group were announced. Initially, a 5-member group was planned to be formed, but after ØMI saw the performances of the 10 finalists, the number was changed to 7 for the best balance and team composition of the group.The seven members with the highest overall rating were selected to make their debut: ANRI, UWA, RUAN, MIRANO, MINA, HANA and RIA. After the final, the members would enter a period of preparation for the full launch of the group. During their trainning period in South Korea, the members Mina and Ria decided to not debut, leaving the group with five members as originally planned.A program titled Story of iCON Z VILLAGE and the documentary Dream Girls Edition about the formation of the group was also broadcast and distributed in their official youtube channel. The digital program "この場所から A new story begins…" that followed the other ten finalists in their journey of becoming members of CDL's next musical project was also distributed online on CDL Entertainment's official channel.

Moonchild

MOONCHILD (ムーンチャイルド) is a girl group mainly produced by ØMI's label CDL Entertainment and co-produced by Alysa from the HYBE LABELS JAPAN. The group was created by LDH JAPAN during the company's biggest survival audition show iCON Z 〜Dreams For Children〜 girls division, where only 30 girls of 48,000 female contestants made it to the second screening of the girl group category.The group’s lineup consists of the members Ruan, Uwa, Anri, Hana, and Mirano. The Pink Full Moon is the symbol of the group. This group aims to be the representation of Gen Z and an icon of its time. They will be releasing 3 pre-release singles on March 6, 2023, which are all songs that were made for the show, but were recorded with only the members of the group this time: “CHILI CHOCOLATE”, “ONE BITE”, and “Lonely”. They officially debuted on May 3, 2023.The meaning of the group's name MOONCHILD expresses the mysteriousness and fragility of becoming a new girl group that combines music, entertainment, and culture to provide ever-changing entertainment, just like how the moon changes shape every day. It derives from being the very first group created by CDL. The moon is a recurring theme in ØMI's work and a great source of inspiration to the singer turned producer. The group aim was to become as bewitching and as beautiful as the moon.On April 24th of 2024, the night of the pink full moon, LDH JAPAN and CDL Entertainment released a joint statement announcing the official disbandment of MOONCHILD, after just about a year of activities. Producer ØMI also released an statement of his own, explaining that they reached this decision, after several discussions between the staff with the members and their families about their future activities and individual lives, and they were respecting the wishes of the members.


CDL ∞

CDL ∞ (read: "CDL Infinity") is a CDL ACADEMY trainee unit under the management of the label CDL entertainment. and produced by ØMI. The unit was officially announced on December 11, 2022 and consists of the top 10 talented contestants who did not pass the girls division of the iCON Z audition but were chosen by ØMI to become music and dance students of his label's academy in order to debut in the future.On October 17 and 31, it was revealed during during episode #1 "A NEW STORY" and #2 "Not a loser" of the digital program "この場所から A new story begins…" that ØMI would be starting a new project under his label with 10 of the girls who did not pass the iCON Z Girls Group Audition, but who were able to become part of the top 20 contestants on the program and showcase their impressive talents and hard work.On December 11, it was officially announced that the label CDL entertainment had launched a new generation artist discovery and development curriculum, with its first trainee unit being called "CDL ∞" and consisting of the previously introduced 10 unsuccessful participants of the iCON Z Girls Group Audition. Additionally, it was announced that the unit would release their first digital single "CRASH & BURN" on December 23 alongside a performance-focused mv.On June 30, it was announced that CDL ∞ had become part of CDL academy, a newly established joint project between EXPG STUDIO operated by LDH JAPAN and CDL entertainment to train aspiring artists and let them take the first step toward their dreams through various trials and curriculum. With this announcement, a new line-up of trainees from CDL academy was revealed, including all previous members of CDL ∞ except TSUKUSHI and RINO, who left to participate in the PRODUCE 101 audition program, and eventually led Rino to join the IS:SUE idol group.

Moonkery

Located in the trendy nishi-ku area of Osaka, the cutting-edge moon-themed bakery café "MOONKERY" specializes in selling Taiwanese teas with the concept of ”Providing products that are kind to the body”. A separate business from LDH's management, very few people know it's owned by Tosaka. Members of his family secretly adminstrate the shop for him along with other business. The portmanteau "Moonkery" refers to a mix of the words 'moon' and 'bakery'.Since its opening in 2021, the shop has become a hot topic on SNS for its chic atmosphere with classical music playing, a lunar base station theme decor, star-shaped utensils, and elegant products and packaging. A big replica of moon is also exhibited on the top floor for clients to take pictures with and moonview while enjoying their drinks and food. The moon is illuminated at night and can be seen from the outside of the shop.Among the souvenirs sold are the fashionable drinking bottles, tea boxes gift sets, and the Bizen ware pottery specially crafted by the young local Oskan Bizen artists keeping the traditional Japanese art alive. With the help of friends, he songster was inspired to open it after holding his first live concert in Taiwan and visiting local artesanal shops and art galleries in Osaka.

CDL Academy

CDL academy, established on June 30, 2023, is a polished joint project between EXPG STUDIO operated by LDH JAPAN and CDL entertainment, a label headed by ØMI. It is a development division for aspiring artists to take the first step toward their dreams through various trials and curriculum with the focus on trainning female students in order for them to become outstanding artists and elite performers.The project was created after ØMI was impressed by the many talented participants in the girls division of the iCON Z 〜 Dreams For Children 〜 audition program, the previously created trainee girl group CDL ∞, consisting of brilliantly gifted contestants who did not pass the audition, but whose talents and star potential left no doubters, also became part of the division.The LDH trainning school, EXPG Lab, announced that 4 divisions had been created, with one of them being CDL academy. The other 3 are "THREE S", "EXPG Pro" and "EXPG JrLab". Each division has a different purpose. Among them, "TREE S" being named and overseen by EXPG STUDIO supervisor Nakatsuka Yuta, member of the group GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE. EXPG Lab is the section of EXPG which includes a selection of the best students of the schools in Japan.With the establishment of CDL academy as a new division of EXPG Lab, CDL ∞ officially became part of the division and most of its trainees who decided to join became students at EXPG. With other three new girls joining them as the academy's students. In this division, the students will train to become artists, perform live in festivals and as background dancers for the EXILE TRIBE groups and artists, and have a chance at debuting under the CDL entertainment label.The EXPG students are free to graduate from the school and/or audition for other companies if they so wish to - as opposite to other training programs from most entertainment and idol agencies in Japan. Allowing the young students the chance of following new dreams or change their minds about debuting. Additionally, EXPG Lab usually introduces a new class with a new line-up of students annually around summer.

Cdl Tokyo

CDL has been developing fashion items and collaborating with brands and culture under the concept of "Clair De Lune" (moonlight). With this sentiment, and under the guidance of his fashion publicist Hasegawa Sakiko, Tosaka Hiroomi have decided to rebrand the label in 2023 as CDL TOKYO and the brand concept to Quality of Life, with the goal of enriching everyone's daily lives with minimalistic-chic items through CDL TOKYO. All the packaging was also designed to deliver prestige to the purchaser when displayed at home. The products can be purchased exclusively on the brand's official website or at one of their business partners' stores.Drawing upon his rich tapestry of experiences, with each thread telling a story of endurence and transformation, gleaned from his tenure within beauty school and the respect for the fashion industry, he harbored an innate confidence in his capacity to create simple but refined products of the highest quality. As an artist and creative director, Tosaka has fearlessly embraced new challenges, forging a path to success with unwavering determination. His aspirations extend beyond mere commercial success; they embrace a deeply personal mission to uplift lives. In this endeavor, CDL TOKYO stands not only as a business entity but as a testament to the enduring legacy of vision, authenticity, and excellence.For the first CDL Tokyo product launch, the former hairdresser turned superstar jointly developed with Protex Japan, and under the supervision of the celebrity beauty salon L.O..G OMOTESANDO, a luxurious line of haircare products that include shampoo and hair treatment. CDL's shampoo and treatment were developed alongside the CDL candle with the desire to add a soothing and elegant touch to the everyday bath time. Being particular about its ingredients, scent, texture, and general feel, CDL achieved the quality used in professional beauty salons.Since its inception, CDL Tokyo has blossomed into a beacon of excellence, forging spcial connections in the industry and receiving countless of praises from fashion publications and other celebrities. Among them, a high-end jewelry line with the supermodel Candice Swanepoel's brand Tropic of C. Tosaka also collaborated with his long-time friend Masaya Kuroki, the founder of the luxury fashion imprint and record label Maison Kitsuné, in an exclusive limited edition CDL TOKYO collection with Café Kitsuné, the café which Omi frequents. The collaboration was sold out immediately after its release, with items inspired by the iced latte that he always order.At CDL TOKYO, Hiroomi will develop moonlight into colors and scents in various everyday situations, producing a brand with the goal to create relaxation and delight depending on its clients lifestyle, space, and mood. The success of this rebranding allowed for CDL Tokyo to expand the scope of its products as a luxurious lifestyle brand.
